New Heart of Easton Community

A consortium of landowners in Easton have produced detailed proposals to build approximately 900 homes in the South Norfolk village and create a new village heart.

The consortium comprises Easton and Otley College, the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, the Norwich Diocesan Board of Finance Ltd and the Rampton Property Trust.

Easton is identified by South Norfolk Council as a major growth location with a formal allocation for approximately 900 homes forming part of their Local Plan which sits under the Greater Norwich Development Partnership’s Joint Core Strategy proposals.

Following extensive consultation with the local community, Parish Council and Local Authority the masterplan proposals for the site were submitted by the project team and received outline planning approval from South Norfolk Council at committee in February 2016.

Following this approval, the necessary legal documentation is to be agreed with South Norfolk Council and the land will then be offered for sale to housebuilders. The consortium has appointed Bidwells to deal with the land transactions.
